There are many areas in insurance that you can pursue academically, which will eventually lead to working in insurance industry.

Some of the areas that I can think of are: Finance, Insurance & Risk Management, Actuarial Science, Finance & Risk Management, Actuarial & Financial Engineering, Financial and Actuarial Mathematics, and Banking Finance Insurance.

These were some that I can think of.
